Dow Jones Seminar, "Selling with Integrity" Created Warmth in spite of the Blizzard

Imagine this...you are on your way from California to teach a seminar for Dow Jones in Washinton D.C. and the pilot announces, "If we are not able to land in 25 minutes the airport will be closed. I think we may be able to make it." A snow storm approaching blizzard status had swept into the east coast states and left ice, snow and hundreds of broken electrical lines. There is enough doubt in the pilot's voice to make me sit up straight in my chair and contemplate 11 people who have flown in from the UK and all across the US for a seminar that may not have a trainer present. Old Mother Naure seems to be kicking up her heels. I think I held my breath for the 23 minutes it took us to get our wheels on the ground.

The seminar in Washington was rewarding and interesting. The group was exceptionally bright and engaging. This means they asked great questions, made astute comments, and kept both Eddie Reynolds and me on our toes for two days. Eddie won an award for the best trainer in IBM, and this expertise was demonstrated as he conducted the training. We are invited to conduct an Advanced Negotiation training for the same group this summer.
